How you can fund your great idea when the bank says "not interested"

Do you have a great idea for a project or product, one you've know will make you rich? But you have no money? No problem.
Here's how to fund your idea when the banks say no and the relatives say "What?" and your friends have stopped answering your calls.
Let me ask you, what if you could reach out to millions of people all over the word and get say, just a penny each? How about if you just reached 100 million or so and you got just one in a thousand to believe in you enough to give you $5.00? You'd have $5,000.00. What if they gave you $30, $50, even $100?

Impossible?
Not at all. This idea is live, it's real, and it's funding thousands of projects. For example, a start up hoped to raise $15,000, to build a hammock. It has already raised $165,830 from 1,516 backers with a few more days left before donations cease. That's an average of $109.39 per person!

Or, a high power led light that is rechargeable… from your USB port and that you can program? A programmable led flashlight! Dumb? How's $259,293 bright sound?
Are you creative in a different way, say an artist or film maker? Have a documentary you are dying to do or a book you want to publish? Join successful people funding comic books, documentaries, indie films and lots of other worthwhile projects.
Is it really a great idea?
Have an idea that you are sure will fly?

Know you've got a winner but want to be sure it's really a good idea? This is a perfect way to do not just market research, you can book pre-orders. No orders? Not such a great idea. Lots of orders? Your startup capital awaits.
What is it and how can I get it?
It is a service called most appropriately "Kickstarter" at www.kickstarter.com. It's the largest funding platform for creative projects in the world. Every week millions of dollars are pledged to fund projects
Every week millions of dollars are pledged to fund projects
in music, film, games, writing and publishing, film and video, art, technology, design, food, publishing and other creative fields.
The way Kickstart works is smart; it lets the world decide if you get funded. It's up to you to present your idea or dream (is there a difference?) to the world in a compelling way while incorporating the essentials of clearly defined goals and expectations.
Then the world decides if your idea is worth funding.
If you don't reach your funding goal, no money changes hands so a half good idea never gets funded and no money changes hands. Have a winner, you are on your way.
The only incentives you can use are rewards, not financial incentives like copies of a work or limited editions or the actual product. No money, no way for incentives.
What's not acceptable? For starters, no charity or cause funding, that's not in Kickstart's mission, neither are project to "fund my life" like pay bills or go on vacation. Your idea will be vetted by Kickstart for fit and other factors so take their advice and get in touch early in the process so you don't waste time. Other than that, its pretty open to anyting.
How you Set Up a Project
There are only a few steps to launch your project.
There are only a few steps to launch your project.
The first is "Define Your Project" followed by deciding what rewards to offer, set a funding budget and set a deadline within 60 days to reach your goal. The next step and an essential one is make a video to make your project understandable and compelling.
Kickstart's site has several other activities that help make your project a success and you can go over them on the website.
If you need help with focus and crystallizing your idea, as a professional FocalPoint business coach, I can help you get there faster and give you an edge over the average do it yourself wannabe.
Take action!
Now, dust off that next great product or concept and get it funded! Nothing's holding you back now but you. The money isn't a problem any more.
